Is the SVG to PNG converter free?▾

What sizes can I export at?▾

Any size: 1x (96 DPI) up to 4x retina (384 DPI), plus print-grade 300 DPI. Resolution presets include 1080p, 4K UHD, Instagram square/story, Open Graph (1200x630), and PWA icon (512x512). Optional max-dimension cap maintains aspect ratio.

Does it preserve transparency?▾

Yes. PNG default keeps transparent background. Set a custom hex background (white, brand color) when you need a solid fill -useful for print, social media, or backgrounds that don't support transparency.

Can I export to JPG or WebP instead?▾

Yes. Format dropdown: PNG (lossless + transparent), JPG (smaller, no transparency), WebP (smallest, transparent). Quality slider controls JPG/WebP compression.

How does it handle external images in the SVG?▾

External <image href> resources will taint the canvas and block PNG export. For best results inline images as base64 data URLs first using our Image-to-Base64 tool, then convert. Pure SVG (paths, text, gradients) works perfectly.

Is it safe to upload arbitrary SVGs?▾

Yes. We sanitize <script>, on* event handlers, javascript: URLs, and <foreignObject> tags before rendering -defense in depth against malicious SVG. Math runs locally so nothing leaves your tab.

Why does my exported PNG look pixelated?▾

Bump the DPI to 2x or higher. SVG is resolution-independent but the PNG export is a fixed bitmap. For retina screens use 2x; for print use 4x or 300 DPI preset.

What's the max file size?▾

Up to 10MB per SVG and 10000x10000 output dimensions (browser canvas limit). Files larger than that are rare for SVG -most logos are under 100KB.
